SAT – MARCH 15TH – English Breakfast Run - Meet at 8:30 - 9:00 am in front of Rob's British Butchers at 177 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong. Bring chairs and gold coins for the parking meters. Our Hosts Rob and Jill will be providing Egg and Bacon Rolls at $9 or a full English breakfast for $20, with tea and coffee free of charge. This will be followed by a run to Mordialloc Beach for a chat, walk and coffee if you so desire.

SUN – APRIL 13TH – Gisborne Run – A beautiful country roads meander from Keilor heading north, a BYO picnic morning tea at Lake Merrimu, and lunch at Gisborne’s Costello’s Victorian Tavern.  An easy 25 min run down the Calder Freeway to the Ring Road!

SAT – MAY 24TH –– Fox Car Museum at Southbank, and run to The Anglers Tavern  on the Maribyrnong River    Park on site with discounted entry, then a drive past Flemington and the Royal Show Grounds for a pub lunch at the Anglers Tavern Hotel overlooking the Maribyrnong River...  

 

SUN – JUNE 15TH – Annual “Battle of Waterloo” Run – This year its our turn to organise this regular event on our club calendar with our French cousins in the Citroen Car Club, and the challenge for the Battle this year might be games of darts!!  

 

SAT – JULY 19TH – Club Annual Show-n-Shine and A.G.M. Lunch at Sandown Park Hotel  Returning to our now regular home for a wonderful lunch as another Club year commences…

How to organise and put on a run.

  • Choose a month and a date that you can help.

  • Once chosen, decide on a time and place to meet.

  • Contact runs co-ordinator and let them know so they can coordinate with the editor and committee.

  • Ask members to say if they are attending and make sure you have their phone number and give members yours. These details may be put in the newsletter. 

  • On the day arrive at the meeting point a few minutes early if you can. 

  • Wait for members to arrive and leave at the designated time. 

  • Try to travel in a convoy. Do the right thing and if you can’t see the member behind you, stop and wait for them in a safe place. One reason why you need phone numbers. 

  • Upon arriving check that everyone is accounted for.

  • Take note of who came, where you went, what happened, any stories and any other details for doing a run report. 

  • Forward your notes to our editor so he can write up a run report for the newsletter.
